Asset Survey &
Inspection

Pre-insurance surveys, condition assessments, and post-incident inspections for BESS, solar PV, and EV charging assets. Independent technical reports that meet underwriting, warranty, and lender requirements across the CEE market.

IEC
All surveys conducted to IEC standards — IEC 62619 (BESS), IEC 61215 / IEC 61724 (Solar PV)
CEE
Coverage across Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania and wider EU market
Reports accepted by Insurers · Lenders · Arbitrators
Survey Types

Four Types of Survey We Conduct

Each survey type is structured around a specific trigger — underwriting, warranty, lender due diligence, or post-incident — with a report format matched to the use case.

Pre-Insurance

Pre-Insurance Technical Survey

A condition assessment conducted before an insurance placement, enabling the underwriter to confirm asset state, verify installation quality, and calibrate the premium to actual risk. For BESS, this includes SoH testing and thermal inspection. For solar PV, it includes IV-curve analysis, soiling assessment, and inverter condition check.

Condition report with risk grading for underwriting submission
IEC-standard test results with pass/fail against warranted thresholds
Photographic and thermal imaging documentation
Recommended risk mitigation actions where deficiencies identified
Post-Incident

Post-Incident Inspection

An independent inspection conducted after a fire, thermal event, capacity failure, or other insured loss. The inspection documents the extent of damage, assesses the initiating cause, and produces evidence for the insurance claim and any subsequent warranty dispute with the OEM.

Cause and extent of loss report — independent of insurer or OEM
Thermal imaging and cell-level damage mapping
Reinstatement cost assessment — replacement vs. repair
Preservation of evidence for arbitration or legal proceedings
Lender Due Diligence

Lender & Investor Technical Survey

A technical due diligence survey supporting project finance, refinancing, or acquisition. The survey confirms asset condition, remaining warranted capacity, OEM creditworthiness, and insurance adequacy — providing the lender or acquirer with an independent technical basis for their credit or investment decision.

Asset condition and remaining useful life assessment
Warranted capacity verification — actual SoH vs. OEM curve
Insurance gap analysis — current cover vs. lender requirements
OEM financial health and warranty backstop assessment
Portfolio Health Check

Portfolio Asset Health Survey

A periodic health check survey for operators with multiple assets — BESS, solar PV, or EV charging — identifying performance trends, warranty cliff risks, and insurance gaps across the portfolio before they generate claims or coverage disputes.

Cross-asset condition benchmarking and risk ranking
Warranty expiry calendar with predicted SoH at each expiry date
Portfolio-level insurance adequacy review
Priority action list ranked by risk and cost of remediation
Asset Coverage

Three Asset Classes We Survey

Our survey capability covers the three primary asset classes in the renewable energy and energy transition market.

🔋

Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

From 100 kWh commercial systems to multi-MWh utility-scale facilities. LFP, NMC, and VRFB chemistries. AC- and DC-coupled configurations.

IEC 62619 capacity discharge testing
Thermal imaging — cell and module level
BMS data extraction and SoH reconstruction
Gas detection and suppression system inspection
OEM installation compliance verification
☀️

Solar PV Assets

Rooftop and ground-mount systems from 10 kWp residential to 50 MWp utility-scale. Single and three-phase inverter configurations. Fixed-tilt and tracking systems.

IV-curve analysis per IEC 61215
Infrared thermography — hotspot and delamination detection
Performance ratio (PR) calculation vs. warranted baseline
Soiling and shading assessment
Inverter condition and MPPT efficiency check
⚡

EV Charging Infrastructure

AC and DC fast-charge networks — retail, fleet, and public infrastructure. Single-site and multi-site portfolio surveys. Charger and grid-connection condition assessment.

Charger output testing vs. rated capacity
Electrical safety and grid connection inspection
Connector and cable condition assessment
OCPP network and software version verification
Uptime and fault log analysis
How It Works

From Instruction to Report

A straightforward process from initial instruction to delivery of the survey report — typically completed within 10–15 business days for a single-site survey.

1

Instruction & Scope Agreement

We agree the scope of the survey — asset type, site location, survey purpose, and report format — and confirm the instruction in writing. We request existing documentation: OEM technical spec, installation records, BMS data logs, and any prior inspection reports.

2

Site Mobilisation & Inspection

Our appointed surveyor attends site with calibrated test equipment. All testing follows IEC standard protocols. A photographic and thermal imaging record is taken. Site access is coordinated with the operator to minimise operational disruption.

3

Data Analysis & Report Drafting

Test results are analysed against the OEM's warranted performance curve, installation specifications, and IEC standard benchmarks. A draft report is produced for client review before the final version is issued.

4

Final Report Delivery

The final survey report is issued in the format required by the instructing party — underwriting submission, lender pack, arbitration bundle, or client record. Reports are signed and certified by the lead surveyor and available in English and Czech.
